Moses led the children of Israel to camp next to the Red Sea (Exodus 14). Pharaoh’s heart was hard; he decided to pursue them, knowing they were trapped in a geographical cul-de-sec. As he and his army drew close to the Israelite encampment, the Jews started complaining, accusing Moses of leading them to the wilderness to die: “For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness” (14:12). God told Moses to “speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward” (v. 15).

I believe God’s plan for His people has always been to go forward. Marching onward was God’s plan then and it is God’s plan now!
